Roles & Responsibilities

Each stakeholder plays a critical role in ensuring program success and sustainability.

Role of AECC Africa

Overall responsible for the implementation of the activity
Provide progress reports to partner organizations
Document success stories, bottlenecks, challenges and lessons
Responsible for management, monitoring and oversight
Provide TA, market linkages, access to finance, and facility management
Ensure clients make timely repayments to financial institutions
Build pipelines for Banks/MFIs and train VSLAs

Role of Partner FIs

KYC data on MSMEs and beneficiaries
Provide percentage of total project budget as a loan with good terms
Avail and design products targeting Women, Youth, MSMEs and farmers
Monitor loan portfolio quality and collection of advances

Role of Donor Programs

Contributing percentage of the overall project funding
Oversee the overall implementation of the program
Discuss bottlenecks, challenges and how to solve them
Strategic decisions and approvals on the activities
Support in influencing policy and government regulations

Government's Role

Policy framework to increase efficiency
Provide supportive infrastructure for growth
Regulations to promote equity
Foster macroeconomic stability and growth
Providing reliable land with water resources for vulnerable households

Contributing percentage of the total program funding
Managing and running the business effectively
Report continuously on challenges, progress or stories
Responsible for the repayment of the loan on time
